The COBAS® AmpliPrep/COBAS® TaqMan® System is a fully automated system designed to improve workflow efficiencies from sample preparation to real-time amplification and detection. The COBAS® AmpliPrep Instrument isolates RNA or DNA targets for real-time PCR using generic capture with silica-coated glass particles.
The COBAS® AmpliPrep Instrument offers:
Improved workflow efficiency for reduced hands-on time, which contributes to greater laboratory productivity
Three bar-coded sample racks of 24 specimens each
Internal controls, allowing for target recovery monitoring
Bar coded reagents packaged in ready-to-use spill-proof cassettes with self-sealing caps for increased stability
To meet your throughput needs, the COBAS® AmpliPrep Instrument can be used with either the COBAS® TaqMan® Analyzer or smaller COBAS® TaqMan® 48 Analyzer.
The COBAS® TaqMan® System offers:
Continuous operation with no manual transfer of samples between preparation, amplification, and detection to streamline workflow and maximize lab productivity when the COBAS® TaqMan® Analyzer is docked to the COBAS® AmpliPrep Instrument
Higher throughput with continuous operation and 96-test capacity
Task flexibility with four independent, onboard thermal cyclers allowing up to four different protocols and four independent runs to be processed simultaneously
Real-time PCR, allowing amplification and detection of RNA and DNA within hours for faster results
The quantitation standard, AmpErase Enzyme and closed-tube format requiring no user interaction after sample loading is completed, reducing the risk of sample contamination and optimizing workflow to ensure greater result integrity
Test systems that provide excellent sensitivity, specificity, and quantification over broad dynamic ranges
AMPLILINK software, providing a simple, efficient user interface between the COBAS® TaqMan® Analyzer and the custom-built, Windows®-based PC supplied with the system
Automated and fully docked systems available with the COBAS® AmpliPrep/COBAS® TaqMan® HIV-1 Test (CE-IVD and FDA approved), HCV, and HBV assays (CE-IVD)
