COBAS® AMPLICOR Analyzer

The COBAS® AMPLICOR Analyzer is the first benchtop system to fully automate the amplification and detection steps of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing process on a single instrument. It combines five instruments into one (thermal cycler, automatic pipettor, incubator, washer and reader).

The COBAS® AMPLICOR Analyzer offers:

  • Bar-coded data entry
  • 48 sample capacity per run
  • Test-specific reagents
  • Multiplexing- up to six detections per amplified sample
  • AmpErase Enzyme (uracil-N-glycosylase, UNG), a reagent that provides for selective amplification by destroying deoxyuridine-containing amplicon, reducing the risk of cross-contamination
